Life at Sea Cruises taps Kari Tarnowski as chief marketing officer

Life at Sea Cruises, billed as the world's first and only three-year cruise, hired Kari Tarnowski as chief marketing officer.

Tarnowski brings more than 30 years of cruise and travel industry experience in marketing, branding, revenue management, sales and reservations. She will be responsible for the company's overall marketing strategy.

Life at Sea Cruises launched in March with plans to use Miray Cruises' 1,074-passenger Gemini. Fares start at $32,998, or less than $85 a day.

Rebranded American Queen Voyages

Previously Tarnowski was SVP marketing & sales at American Queen Voyages, rebranding the company in September 2021. She also held senior marketing roles at Crystal Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Sandals & Beaches Resorts and Silversea Cruises, and was part of the launch team for Hotels.com in 2002.

Tarnowski will oversee the development and implementation of Life at Sea Cruises’ multi-channel marketing plan, which will include generating demand, the brand's positioning, building customer loyalty and retention and establishing partnerships.

Home at sea with facilities for working professionals

The company is targeting markets including people in their 50s who are still working with the promise of good connectivity and modern facilities such as a business center with meeting rooms, 14 offices, a lounge and business library.
