Lynn Torrent to succeed Rubén Rodríguez at MSC Cruises USA

Lynn Torrent will succeed Rubén Rodríguez as president of MSC Cruises USA in May 2025.

Rodríguez plans to retire then, in line with his longer-term personal plans.

Torrent, EVP and chief commercial officer, will continue to work closely with Rodríguez over this extended transition period, MSC Cruises said.

Gratitude to Rodríguez and congratulations to Torrent

MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato thanked Rodríguez for 'ensuring a smooth transition before his retirement' and expressed gratitude for his his 'significant contributions in helping MSC Cruises grow in North America.'

Onorato also congratulated Torrent for her 'well-deserved' promotion, adding: 'Since joining MSC Cruises in May 2022, Lynn has had a tremendous impact leading our commercial efforts across sales, marketing, revenue management and contact center functions. I look forward to working with Lynn in her expanded role.'

Torrent signed on with MSC Cruises USA after serving as division president at Apple Leisure Group. Formerly she was EVP sales and guest services at Carnival Cruise Line until 2016 and, earlier, president/CEO of Costa Cruises in the US, reporting to then-Costa President Onorato.
