Magdalena Bosson is the new CEO at Ports of Stockholm

Magdalena Bosson will become the new Ports of Stockholm CEO effective from January 1 with Thomas Andersson stepping down from the role after four years.

‘I have followed the development of the ports in my previous roles and I am very happy to now be taking over as CEO for Ports of Stockholm,’ declared Bosson. ‘Developing vital infrastructure for sustainable transport to and from the Stockholm region, together with our customers and colleagues, will be very rewarding.’

Her previous experience includes being director of the Transport Department at Stockholm City Council, CEO at Familjebostäder, deputy county governor of the County Administrative Board of Stockholm, Municipality of Huddinge deputy director and, most recently, Stockholm City manager.

Stockholms Hamn AB board of directors appointed Magdalena Bosson the new CEO yesterday. Andersson leaves Ports of Stockholm on December 14, with Alexandra Lindström, the current CFO at the company, stepping in as temporary CEO until Bosson assumes the position.

Andersson will take the post of executive director of the City of Stockholm Development Administration. He said, ‘These have been intensive and exciting years. Being able to open Stockholm Norvik Port, navigate through the pandemic and time of crisis, as well as developing the business, both through important sustainability projects and with new customers, has been incredibly satisfying.
