Mark Lockwood advances to new role at The Yacht Portfolio

The announcement follows the launch of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Evrima, and with two additional newbuilds, Ilma and Luminara, on the way.

Lockwood will be responsible for developing and delivering all guest experience elements by brand for current and future yachts of the organization, including food and beverage, guest services, housekeeping, entertainment and enrichment, boutique, onboard revenue, shore collection, medical operations, shipboard human resources and spa and wellness.

Over the last five years, Lockwood has led cruise hotel operations for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, ultimately as SVP, where he was instrumental in launching Evrima. He will continue to report directly to Douglas Prothero, CEO of The Yacht Portfolio.

25 years of travel industry experience

With over 25 years in the travel industry, Lockwood has a wealth of hospitality and operational experience. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, he was corporate VP operations for Midtown Athletic Clubs, where he oversaw all operations and led the launch of Midtown Chicago Club & Hotel, the world’s largest luxury urban sports resort.

Lockwood is a cruise industry veteran, having held senior leadership roles at Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises as well as senior shipboard roles with Norwegian Cruise Line. He began his hospitality career at several Leading Hotels of the World, including The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews, Scotland where he led the food and beverage team.
