Norbert Stiekema is Cruise Saudi’s new chief sales and marketing officer

Norbert Stiekema has three decades’ experience working in hospitality, leisure, entertainment and travel
Norbert Stiekema, who has three decades’ global experience in commercial and change management spanning hospitality, leisure, entertainment and travel, joins Cruise Saudi as chief sales and marketing officer.

A wealth of experience

‘Our diverse team of industry experts are working diligently to develop a sustainable and integrated local cruise industry to position Saudi as a premier cruising destination on the world stage,’ explained Fawaz Farooqui, MD, Cruise Saudi. ‘Norbert brings a wealth of experience to the company and we are pleased to welcome him onboard to help achieve our goals.’

Stiekema has held several key roles in the cruise, travel and tourism industry including being Costa Cruises’ former chief strategy & digital officer as well as its executive VP, sales & marketing.

He was also senior VP, sales & distribution at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, EMEA and worked for 14 years at national Dutch airline, KLM.

Prior to joining Cruise Saudi, Stiekema served as chief commercial officer at Public Investment Fund-owned giga project, Qiddiya Investment Company in Riyadh.
