Azamara is building out key sectors of its internal team as it continues to stand up the brand as an independent organization and prepares for the addition of Azamara Onward in 2022.

Key hires include Doug Parks as chief administrative officer, Laura Krejci as chief information officer and Rafael Pagliuso as general counsel.
As earlier reported here, Capt. Nico Corbijn joined in March as head of marine operations.

These new additions will help lead the company to success by building out and operating key areas of the business and ensuring our returning guests enjoy a safe and enjoyable experience with Azamara,' President Carol Cabezas said.
Doug Parks
Parks brings business transformation experience to lead the development and growth of the brand’s shared service team including human resources, tax, legal, IT, risk and supply chain. Previously, he was SVP, chief resources officer at HealthNow New York Inc. He has expertise in strategy and organization development, HR, culture, talent acquisition and management.
Laura Krejci
CIO Krejci will lead the buildout of the technology ecosystem to enhance Azamara's operations and digital selling tools. Previously, she was SVP technology at Chico’s FAS where she led the development and execution of technology, digital and analytics services to promote business growth.
Rafael Pagliuso
Pagliuso will lead Azamara’s legal matters and initiatives. Previously, he was corporate counsel at Votorantim Group and VP and general counsel - Latin America at Emerson Electric. Pagliuso holds a law degree from Unicenp in Brazil and a master's degree in law from Washington University.
