Peter Green takes up new strategic accounts manager role at Ambassador
The purpose of the new position is to drive the sales agenda and generate new business opportunities.
Peter Green joined Ambassador Cruise Line as strategic accounts manager – a newly-created position that will see Green responsible for growing and deepening relationships with key clients to maximise account penetration and sales generation, and grow the company’s footprint within key accounts.
He will report into Karen Cameron, Ambassador’s deputy head of trade.
‘Untapped opportunity’
With Ambience and Ambition serving eight UK departure ports, the role will see Green drive Ambassador’s sales agenda, generating new business opportunities across the country and coordinating activity for marketing opportunities and trade events.
Nicola Harper, the cruise line’s head of distribution, said, ‘As the UK cruise line with the most regional departures, we have lots of untapped opportunity.
‘The role has been created with an initial focus on London Cruise Terminal to identify new agent partners and identify growth opportunities with existing partners before extending to Ambassador’s regional ports across the UK.
‘There is a big market for our affordable quality product, and we are fully committed to supporting our valued trade partners with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed.’
Harper described Green as ‘well respected in the industry with extensive knowledge of the trade,’ noting, ‘he will be instrumental in supporting our trade partners and driving forward our ambitious goals.’
