This comes ahead of a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 27 for the port's new berth expansion.

15 years of experience in events and marketing

Murphy brings more than 15 years of experience in events and marketing, with expertise in concept development, marketing strategies and experiential product development. She has been integral to the concept development and execution of events including the PEI Fall Flavours Festival, PEI International Shellfish Festival and Jack Frost Winterfest, among many others.

In her new role, Murphy will continue the work of recovery and strategic marketing for Port Charlottetown, promoting Charlottetown and Atlantic Canada as a world-class cruise destination.
