Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection promotes three, hires two

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection promoted Kristian Anderson, Carolina Acero and Tobias King and added two trade sales professionals.

Anderson moved up from VP to SVP global sales, an expanded role overseeing all facets of sales operations including global reservations, trade sales, meetings and incentives sales, air and hotel programs, and special services.

He joined The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in 2021. Earlier, Anderson was EVP global sales for Uniworld Boutique River Cruises and held leadership positions at Silversea Cruises, Qatar Airways and Aeromexico Airlines. While at Uniworld, he chaired the trade relations committee at Cruise Lines International Association.

Carolina Acero

Acero was promoted from director - financial planning & analysis and treasury to VP finance. A five-year company veteran, she will serve as a strategic business partner for various departments. The accounting and tax teams, along with financial planning & analysis, insurance and treasury, will report to Acero.

Earlier, she was a senior financial analyst at Royal Caribbean Group and at three companies focused on the Latin American market.

Tobias King

King was promoted from AVP to VP newbuild and will lead newbuild projects. He has been pivotal in building and leading the team at Chantiers de l’Atlantique for Ilma and Luminara, scheduled to sail in 2024 and 2025.

With a background in naval architecture and marine engineering, King joined The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection a year ago, having served as Royal Caribbean Group's project manager in Saint-Nazaire for Celebrity Cruises' Edge class. Earlier, he was with DNV GL.

Praise for the three

'Kristian has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive revenue performance and provide exceptional leadership,' said Jim Murren, executive chairman and CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Murren also congratulated Acero and King, adding: 'Their expertise and dedication will be crucial to drive the company forward as we embark on an exciting phase of growth and expansion.'

The three 'exemplify exceptional leadership and dedication,' according to Ernesto Fara, president and CFO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, who said their contributions have been 'instrumental in driving our growth and success.'

New sales team members

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection also welcomed two additional members to its expanding trade sales team. They are Joan Brullet Gubern, director, trade industry sales –  EMEA, based in Barcelona, and Stephanie Seghers-Narvaez, manager, strategic accounts – Western USA and Canada, based in Los Angeles.
