Director Sara Mathew notified Carnival Corp. and Carnival plc that she will not stand for re-election to the boards at their 2025 annual shareholders meetings.

To focus on other business ventures

This is to allow her to focus on her other business ventures. According to her LinkedIn profile, Mathew just became a part-time senior advisor to Star Mountain Capital. She also serves on the boards of Dropbox and State Street.

Mathew, retired chair, president and CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Corp., joined the Carnival boards in November 2022.

Carnival's shareholders meetings are expected to take place in April.

Besides Mathew, Carnival's 11 other directors are Chairman Micky Arison, Sir Jonathon Band, Jason Glen Cahilly, Nelda J. Connors, Helen Deeble, Jeffrey J. Gearhart, Katie Lahey, Stuart Subotnik, Laura Weil, CEO Josh Weinstein and Randy J. Weisenburger.

Arison thanked Mathew for her 'service and signficant contributions' to the boards and the audit dommittees and wished her well in her future endeavors.
