This follows a huge increase in sales this year for Scenic through agents. Scenic has doubled the size of its agency support team, including the recent promotion of national sales key account manager, Wendi Hardy.

Tansey, who started today, reports directly to the recently appointed director of trade sales Andrea Stafford, joining the newly restructured dedicated trade sales and marketing team of 10.

Fresh faces at Scenic

Commenting on the appointment, Stafford said, ‘Louise brings a wealth of experience to our already energetic and dedicated trade support team. Having just joined the team myself a month ago, we have a host of fresh faces joining an already well-established team and we can’t wait to continue to unlock the enormous potential that agents have when working with the Scenic Group brands.’

Industry veteran Mark Robinson was named VP cruise operations at Scenic Group just last month.

Exciting opportunities

Of the appointment, Tansey commented, ‘I’m really looking forward to hitting the ground running in my new role at such a dynamic business. We have so many exciting opportunities for agents in the pipeline and I can’t wait to share these with agents in the central region and help them to fulfil their potential.’

Background

Having held both business development and national sales positions at Bourne Leisure Limited for over 14 years, Tansey moved to Biblio Travel as sales manager last year. She progressed to trade sales manager at Vertical Travel Group where she was responsible for increasing and developing in-house sales across multiple homeworking divisions for Amathus Holidays and Instant Breaks.
