O’Neal surprised the crowd by taking to the court and asked fans if they were ready to get Funderstruck — the line's new wave season marketing campaign that builds on its 'Choose Fun' brand platform. Funderstruck conveys the 'unapologetic fun people can share together on a cruise.'

T-shirts and a free cruise

O'Neal then released parachutes carrying T-shirts and QR codes. One lucky fan also found a gift card with their T-shirt that can be used for a Carnival cruise of their choice. When scanned, the QR codes also give the chance to opt in for updates on Funderstruck moments to come this year.

Carnival Celebration, the sister of 2021's Mardi Gras, is scheduled to debut in November from PortMiami as part of the line's yearlong 50th anniverary celebration.
