New Zealand’s family-owned small ship cruise company Heritage Expeditions, which operates the 18-passenger Heritage Explorer, appointed Kiwi tourism identity Sharon Salmons trade sales executive.

Queenstown-based Salmons has extensive experience working for local destination and adventure companies and has attended more than 10 Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand (TRENZ) events, the largest annual international trade show on the New Zealand tourism calendar.

‘We’re incredibly excited and fortunate to have Sharon join the Heritage Expeditions family in this dynamic role,’ commercial director and expedition leader Aaron Russ said.

‘Sharon’s impressive industry credentials, contacts and extensive knowledge of both the New Zealand and international tourism markets is second to none,’ Russ said.

World-wide promotion

Salmons said she was equally excited to be joining the authentic expedition cruise company and looked forward to further promoting its industry-leading product across New Zealand and around the world.

‘Having recently returned from our seven-day “Southern Fiords Discovery” voyage and experienced our world-class product first-hand, I am incredibly excited by the unique prospects and opportunities Heritage Explorer brings to New Zealand’s tourism market,’ she said.
