Silversea appoints Roberto Verdino SVP revenue management

Verdino brings 15 years of experience from Costa Cruises and Royal Caribbean International
Silversea Cruises has appointed Roberto Verdino SVP revenue management, reporting to CCO Barbara Muckermann.

Verdino will oversee Silversea’s revenue operations, forecasting, and commercial planning.

‘We are delighted to welcome Roberto Verdino as SVP revenue management – an appointment that reinforces our commitment to long-term growth,’ stated Barbara Muckermann, CCO, Silversea Cruises.

‘It’s an exciting time for Silversea Cruises: we have welcomed four new ships to our fleet since 2020 and we are set to take delivery of two additional vessels – Silver Nova and Silver Ray – by 2024.

‘Roberto’s expertise, paired with his wealth of experience in the cruise and hospitality sectors, will contribute to our continued international success as part of Royal Caribbean Group.’

Roberto Verdino

Monaco-based Verdino has over 15 years of experience at Costa Cruises and Royal Caribbean International, and spent time in the hospitality industry. He has a track record of leading successful teams throughout Europe and Asia, implementing strategies to maximise revenue opportunities. 

‘I am thrilled to join Silversea Cruises during this exciting period of growth,’ Verdino, an Italian national, commented. ‘I look forward to working with my team to strengthen the cruise line’s commercial presence worldwide, focusing on developing its pricing strategies and market intelligence approaches to maximise international revenue opportunities.’

After studying business management at the University of Salerno, Verdino completed the general management programme at the ESCP business school.
