Cinzia Amadio, SVP global marketing, is leaving Silversea Cruises after nine years, and Annette Diaz Arango will take on her reports while the company seeks a a successor.

Amadio is going, effective Dec. 31, to pursue a new role.

'Instrumental in Silversea's growth'

President Bert Hernandez said she has been 'instrumental in Silversea’s growth,' helping cement the brand 'as the clear leader in experiential luxury and expedition travel.'

He cited Amadio's work on the introduction of the Muse and Nova classes, the expansion of the expedition fleet with Silver Origin and Silver Endeavour, shaping the S.A.L.T. culinary program and the the Otium spa concept, and other initiatives.

Helming the marketing organization, 'Cinzia has spearheaded brand repositioning efforts and brought some of the most innovative and unique campaigns and partnerships to the luxury market, helping drive meaningful growth and sales for the brand, with interest in the segment at an all-time high for an evolving demographic,' Hernandez said in a company memo shared with Seatrade Cruise News.

Indelible contributions

He thanked her for her 'indelible contributions to the brand and her leadership.'

Amadio's direct reports will answer to Diaz Arango, AVP brand marketing and communications, during the search.
