Cruise industry veteran Capt. Tom Spina joined Sea Tow Services International as VP franchise operations.

From working for major cruise companies to navigating the logistics of cargo ships as a marine surveyor, Spina brings 26 years of experience to his new position with the nation’s leading on-water assistance provider.

Background includes Bahamas Paradise, Carnival Corp., NCLH

Previously, Spina served as SVP operations for Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, director of business development for Carnival Corp. & plc's global port and destination development group and VP port operations, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. Earlier, he was director of cruise operations for the New York City Economic Development Corp. and a senior marine surveyor for National Cargo Bureau. 'Based on his experience, Tom was certainly a standout for this position, and we are excited to welcome him to the Sea Tow family,' said Capt. Joseph Frohnhoefer III, CEO of Sea Tow Services International.

'It is an honor to be a part of the Sea Tow family and all that the company represents to boaters,' Spina said. 'I grew up watching Sea Tow’s distinctive yellow boats help people on the South Shore of Long Island, New York, and throughout my career in the marine industry. I’m looking forward to working with the network of Sea Tow captains and continuing to grow the Sea Tow brand.'

Spina is based in Miami.
