Virtuoso names Accor veteran Cory Hagopian to lead sales and partnerships

Luxury travel consortium Virtuoso appointed Cory Hagopian SVP sales & partnerships to oversee member relations and partner teams, including cruise, hotels & resorts and destinations & experiences.

He reports to Chief Operating Officer Brad Bourland.

Hagopian will be responsible for setting and driving the strategy to increase Virtuoso's global sales production, optimizing the network's products and services while continuing to build on the network's strong partner and member relationships.

Joins from Accor

Most recently, Hagopian oversaw the entertainment division for Accor and previously was responsible for sales effectiveness with a focus on sales incentive plans, data analytics and reporting. He held sales and marketing leadership roles in Toronto, Montreal, Boston and New York, before moving into global sales positions at various times in leisure, travel agency, luxury, and entertainment segments.

Westin, Canadian Pacific Hotels and Fairmont

Previous experience includes roles with Westin Hotels & Resorts, Canadian Pacific Hotels and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, prior to Accor’s acquisition of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. Hagopian's sales achievements have led to recognitions such as President’s Circle and Master Class by Accor as well as being named HSMAI’s 2021 Sales Leader of the Year.

Dividing time between his home office in Florida and Virtuoso’s New York office, Hagopian will oversee teams based in New York, Seattle and Florida as well as remotely.

Heading to Munich event

His first order of business includes participation in Virtuoso’s Chairman’s Recognition event in Munich, where he will join his fellow senior leadership members in celebrating the network’s most engaged and top-producing agencies and advisors.
