Welbilt appointed Nicolas Lesbats, with more than 10 years’ experience in the maritime industry, as its global marine after-sales manager.

He joins the catering equipment supplier from Almaco where, as VP of maintenance, he led a team of five service engineers in Europe and the US to provide multi-brand, turnkey maintenance and repairs on galley equipment.

Alexis Bourgault, director of global strategic accounts, said, ‘With a detailed understanding of the specific nature and demands on marine equipment, Nicolas will be a true asset to the marine team at Welbilt…’

Welbilt VP sales and marketing EMEA, Jean Paul Roudier, added, ‘Securing the skills and knowledge of someone like Nicolas is testament to the high esteem that brands, such as Convotherm, Merrychef, Ambach and few others, are held within the marine environment. I am delighted to welcome Nicolas to the team and wish him all the best in his new role.’
