Who's who on the Four Seasons Yachts team

CEO Larry Pimentel has assembled a veteran cruise team for the start-up of Four Seasons Yachts.

Pimentel is past president and CEO of Azamara, SeaDream Yacht Club, Cunard and Seabourn, and a board member of Virtuoso Travel. Four Seasons Yachts is his second start-up, after SeaDream.

Thatcher Brown

Thatcher Brown is the new brand's chief commercial officer, in charge of sales and marketing. Most recently he was commercial and strategic advisor for Explora Journeys. Before that, Brown was the first president of Dream Cruises and managing director, Crystal Cruises Asia. Previously, at Costa Cruises in Genoa, he was VP onboard revenue & product development. Earlier, at Jumeirah Group and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, he worked in brand strategy & management and sales and marketing.

Sam Chamberlain

Sam Chamberlain, VP business development, was formerly with Wheels Up, a private jet charter company. Earlier he spent more than a decade with Hilton/Waldorf Astoria in global luxury sales.

Annette Diaz

Annette Diaz, formerly global head of marketing and public relations at Azamara, is head of marketing and communications. Earlier experience, at Royal Caribbean International, included product marketing and strategic parnerships, brand management and creative services.

Sean Bethge

Sean Bethge is VP newbuild. Before joining the Four Seasons Yachts development team in early 2020, he directed newbuild program management at Crystal Cruises. Previously, over a dozen years at Royal Caribbean Group, he ultimately led the newbuilding department's program management office. Earlier work included program management for the Quantum, Edge, Oasis and Mein Schiff prototypes, which were built at three shipyards: Meyer Werft, Chantiers de l'Atlantique and Meyer Turku.

Jan Sorensen

Jan Sorensen, who was VP hotel newbuild and refurbishment at Crystal Cruises until 2021, is on-site newbuild team manager, based at Fincantieri in Trieste.

Don Mason

CFO Don Mason, who's been with the Four Seasons Yachts development team for three years, previously was CFO of Crystal Cruises until April 2019. Before that, Mason's experience over 13 years with Royal Caribbean Group included such roles as director, hotel and marine finance & administration at Celebrity Cruises and manager, corporate planning at Azamara. He also worked in revenue management analysis for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.

Tony Faso

Tony Faso, formerly assistant general counsel at Royal Caribbean Group for more than 13 years, is general counsel and chief people & culture officer. Earlier, Faso was director, maritime claims, at Carnival Cruise Line.

Bill Wright

Capt. Bill Wright, who had a long career with Royal Caribbean International, ultimately as SVP marine operations and who served as the start-up captain for high-profile ships including Oasis of the Seas, is advising Pimentel on environmental, safety and security matters.

Pimentel told Seatrade Cruise News additional people will be joining from the yachting world.
