Ambience and Ambition spent the day anchored off Juno Beach – one of five beaches that played a pivotal role in the events that took place 80 years ago and marked the beginning of the end of the Second World War.

D-Day themed itineraries

The ships offered special D-Day themed itineraries featuring a range of on board activities, including talks and Q&As hosted by ambassadors from the line’s charity partner, Help For Heroes.

The sailings also included a remembrance service, a Great British Deck Party celebration, themed menus, and ‘Le Grand Retour’ – a comedy play inspired by real-life events that tells the story of three nursing home residents determined to break out and rejoin old comrades on the Normandy beaches with the anniversary of D-Day looming.
