Southampton is the first call on the MSC Cruises’ newest ship maiden revenue cruise following her naming in Hamburg on Saturday evening and the 6,334 passenger ship was welcomed to the port with the official plaque and key ceremony on board.

ABP’s Regional Director for Southampton Alastair Welch said: ‘We are proud to welcome MSC Grandiosa to the port. Having hosted the naming ceremony for MSC Bellissima earlier in the year, it is great to have the team back for another significant event in the launch of their latest vessel.’

MSC Cruises lined up DJ Scott Mills to celebrate the arrival of MSC Grandiosa in Southampton  to provide entertainment for over 1,500 guests including 500 UK travel agents.
