Leixões’ Porto Cruise Terminal received AIDAsol on February 14 – the first vessel to call since government COVID-19 regulations were updated.

Embarkation, disembarkation and land licenses of passengers and crew of cruise ships in mainland national ports are now permitted in Portugal, without the requirement to present a negative COVID-19 test result taken before arrival.

The AIDA Cruises vessel was sailing round-trip from Hamburg on its 43-day Caribbean winter break itinerary when it called at the port, carrying 680 crew members plus 1,005 passengers of mainly German nationality.
