Along with new ship, Regent's summer/fall 2016 has new ports, included tours

All told, the line's four vessels will visit 220 ports in 71 countries on 60 destination-intensive cruises in the Mediterranean and northern Europe, Alaska and Canada/New England. Several overnight stays in port are featured.

The grand voyages range from a 47-night London to Copenhagen sailing to a 64-night Barcelona to Sydney sailing. The London-Copenhagen cruise introduces new ports in Greenland with stops at Nuuk and Qaqortoq. The sailing also takes in less frequented destinations such as Torshavn in the Faroe Islands and Iceland’s Akureyri and Isafjordur. 

For select cruises in the Mediterranean, Asia and Africa, Regent Seven Seas Cruises will introduce new options for its free land program, which includes a three-night hotel stay and guided tours. One experience explores Dubai; another includes Abu Dhabi.

The line is including free three-night land stays with five Seven Seas Voyager sailings to passengers booked in a Concierge Suite or higher. The customized land adventures, valued from $1,499 to $1,799 per person, are also available for passengers in a Deluxe Suite for a special rate starting at $699 per person.

Besides the two Greenland ports, new destinations for Regent include Alotau, Papua New Guinea; Gijon, Spain; Portoferraio (Elba) and Gaeta, Italy; Bastia, France; Gaspe (Québec), Canada; Portimao, Portugal; and Vlissingen, Netherlands.

As earlier reported, Seven Seas Explorer's 14-night maiden voyage on July 20, 2016, will sail from Monte Carlo to Venice. The ship's inaugural Mediterranean season includes destinations in Italy, Montenegro, Croatia, France, Portugal, Turkey, Israel and Morocco.

Seven Seas Voyager will begin the season with the fleet’s first Irish Sea/Bay of Biscay cruise followed by a journey to Iceland, Greenland and Scandinavia. After five months in northern Europe, the ship repositions to Asia with a 23-night Barcelona to Dubai sailing on Nov. 9, 2016, that includes overnights at Haifa (for Jerusalem), Israel; Safaga (for Luxor), Egypt; and Dubai.

Seven Seas Mariner begins the season in Alaska then repositions to the US East Coast with an 18-night journey from San Francisco to New York. From there, the ship will operate autumn foliage cruises across New England and Canada before heading south to the Caribbean. The season ends with a 25-night Amazon River adventure.

Seven Seas Navigator will focus on the Mediterranean in summer and fall 2016. The ship's 20 cruises range from seven to 12 nights and explore such new ports for the line as Bastia and Gaeta. Seven Seas Navigator will conclude the season with a 10-night voyage departing Oct. 13 and traveling through the French and Spanish rivieras with an overnight in Lisbon.
