The Quantum-class vessel played host to a ship tour for local media, before its debut voyage on November 21 for a four-night roundtrip cruise from Singapore to Penang and Phuket.

Following its maiden Asia sailing, the vessel will offer three-, four- or five-night sailings to Penang and Phuket. There will also be longer voyages like the eight-night 'Bali Adventure' which takes travellers to Bali’s coastline or the 10-night 'Ultimate Southeast Asia' voyage visiting ports like Nha Trang, Vietnam and Bangkok.

'We’re thrilled to introduce Anthem to the region and look forward to welcoming holidaymakers onboard as they embark on new adventures with Royal Caribbean,' said Chad Grospe, VP, Asia-Pacific, Royal Caribbean International.

He added, 'Whether it’s a short three- to four-night escape or a longer adventure to fan-favourite destinations across Malaysia, Thailand and more, every type of holidaymaker can look forward to a variety of experiences on deck, from showstopping entertainment to restaurants and spots to grab a bite with flavours from around the world.'

On the ship's first day in Singapore, media guests were given a tour of areas like the pool deck, adults-only solarium and facilities.
