Barcelona leads the way on cruise numbers in Spain, but still down on pre-pandemic figures

Barcelona received 1,665,896 cruise passengers during the first nine months of 2022 – 68.5% of the same period in 2019 – on 582 ship calls.

Barcelona Port Authority anticipates a full-year 2022 total of 2.2m passengers, 70% of the 2019 figure, and 820 vessel calls.

The subsequent busiest cruise ports in Spain, in order, were the Balearic Islands, Las Palmas, Valencia and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
