Carnival Conquest ports shuffle to avoid Tropical Storm Erika
Just days after Hurricane Danny fizzled, Tropical Storm Erika is following in its path, with Carnival Cruise Line shuffling ports on one current itinerary to avoid bad weather.

Carnival Conquest's eight-day cruise, which sailed Sunday from Port Everglades, will miss St. Kitts and St. Maarten, while adding an overnight in San Juan (instead of just a one-day call) and a visit to Nassau on Saturday. The ship will call at Grand Turk on Thursday instead of Saturday.
Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center in Miami expect Erika to be near the northern Leeward Islands Wednesday night. Tropical storm watches are in effect for Montserrat, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, Saba, St. Eustatius and St. Maarten, Guadeloupe, St. Martin and St. Barthelemy.
Erika's maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph/65 km/h, with higher gusts. Forecasters expect some slow strengthening during the next 48 hours.
