Celebrity Cruises plans to deploy Celebrity Edge in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific for the 2023/24 season.

Celebrity Edge will offer a dozen six- to 13-night itineraries from early December 2023 through April 2024. The ship will visit 22 ports with departures from Sydney and Auckland.

'Our new advertising campaign poses a question, "Isn’t it time?" to treat ourselves and to get out and experience the world, again,' Celebrity Cruises President & CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said.

Themed sailings

Itinerary highlights include themed sailings like  ‘Sun and Beach Escapes,' ‘Food and Wine Classics' and ‘Five Star Getaways,’ providing deeper immersion into regional culture with enhanced on-board and shoreside programming.

Overnight stays are planned in Cairns, Auckland and Hobart. New for Celebrity is Kangaroo Island, a nature reserve. Every New Zealand cruise will visit both the North and South islands.

A South Pacific itinerary features New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Mystery Island.

'Long anticipated'

Citing a 'plethora of firsts on board,' Celebrity's Tim Jones, VP and managing director, Australia and APAC, said Celebrity Edge's arrival to the region has been long anticipated, adding: 'This is a moment of real celebration for Australian travelers and Celebrity Cruises.'

Celebrity Edge features include The Magic Carpet cantilevered above the sea and offering uninterrupted vistas while patrons sip cocktails or dine. Eden, spanning three decks with towering glass walls, offers a fusion of culinary and entertainment experiences. The Spa sprawls across 22,000 square feet with amenities including a thermal suite of eight distinct rooms.

Accommodations range from 'infinite veranda' staterooms to two-story villas with plunge pools. The Retreat with its private restaurant, exclusive lounge and sun deck is available to suite guests.
