Joel Katz said Cruise Month will be a fitting celebration of cruising’s revival in Australia and New Zealand
Cruise Lines International Association Australasia is reviving Cruise Month in September — the first since 2019.

‘Cruise Month will herald the approach of our first (southern hemisphere) summer cruise season in more than two years, allowing us to capitalise on interest around returning cruise ships and the new travel opportunities they offer,’ Joel Katz, MD of CLIA Australasia, said.

‘It will help mark our region’s reunification with the global cruise industry and build more excitement around new cruising opportunities in Australia, New Zealand and around the world,’ Katz said.

#LoveCruise

This Cruise Month theme is #LoveCruise, with lines and cruise retailers mounting special promotions and marketing campaigns throughout September.

CLIA Australasia cruise specialists will also be able to launch their own #LoveCruise promotions and social media initiatives with CLIA’s Cruise Month toolkit.

The month will be divided into four sales targets:  Ocean Cruising (September 4-10), River Cruising (September 11-17), Expedition Cruising (September 18-24) and Luxury Cruising (September 25-October 1).

Follows Cruise360

Cruise Month is hot on the heels of the regional Cruise360 2022 on August 25, which was twice postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
