Copenhagen recorded 300 calls in 2023, similar projection for 2024
Copenhagen received 750,000 passengers and nearly 300 cruise calls last year, with similar numbers anticipated for 2024.
The destination has bookings for all 12 months of the year and more than 50 cruise calls between October 2024 and April 2025, which is rare for the Northern Europe region.
Inaugural calls
In 2024, Cunard’s Queen Anne, TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 7, Albatros Expedetions’ Ocean Albatross, Azamara’s Azamara Onward and Villa Vie Residences’ Villa Vey Odyssey (ex. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Braemar) are among the 10 vessels that will sail to Copenhagen for the first time ever.
Shore power
Copenhagen is equipped with an international airport, flexible turnaround facilities at its three Ocean Quay cruise terminals, and centrally located facilities at Langelinie Pier and Nordre Toldbod.
Copenhagen Malmö Port aims to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations by 2025, coinciding with the anticipated availability of shore power for cruise ships in Copenhagen.
