Costa Cruises’ flagship Costa Firenze arrived in Cagliari on July 9 after starting its maiden voyage from the Port of Savona on July 5.

At the invitation of the ship’s captain, authorities in Sardinia joined Cagliari Cruise Port on board the vessel to witness its crest exchange ceremony.

‘For Cagliari Cruise Port, this call is an important demonstration of the centrality of the Sardinian port, not only for the shipowner, but also within the panorama of Italian cruise ports,’ said Antonio Di Monte, general manager, Cagliari Cruise Port.

Costa Smeralda called at the port every week through May and June.
