Costa Fortuna to operate three longer itineraries in the Med
Costa Fortuna will operate three different two-week itineraries in the Mediterranean from April to October.
The vessel will sail from east to west, also visiting the Canary Islands.
‘After the restart in Asia with Costa Serena, the addition of Costa Fortuna to our offer in the Mediterranean is another very positive sign, which testifies a growing appreciation of our cruises in 2023,’ said Mario Zanetti, president, Costa Cruises.
‘We have designed truly exclusive itineraries for Costa Fortuna… In this way we will offer an additional opportunity to discover the Mediterranean, with more time available to explore a wide variety of destinations.’
Greek and Balearic Islands
A new Costa itinerary, summer will see sailings that combine the Greek and Balearic Islands. Running from June 24 to August 19, the vessel will call at: Savona, Civitavecchia/Rome, Messina, Crete (with a call at Heraklion), Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, Kefalonia (with a call at Argostoli), Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Marseille.
Costa Fortuna's second itinerary will be dedicated to the Canary Islands, where it will be possible to explore up to five destinations in the archipelago – Arrecife, Puerto del Rosario, Las Palmas, San Sebastian de la Gomera and Santa Cruz de Tenerife – as well as Madeira, Malaga, Savona and, on some departures, Civitavecchia/Rome. Departures run from April 29 to June 10, and on September 2 and 16.
The third itinerary, available April 16, September 10 and October 14, will include Istanbul where passengers can also stay overnight during September and October departures. Other calls consist of Izmir, Athens, Malta, Savona, Civitavecchia/Rome, Catania, Barcelona and Marseille.
Autumn mini cruises
From October 28 until mid-November, Costa Fortuna will offer short three- and four-day cruises in the Western Mediterranean, to Barcelona and Marseille, departing from Savona.
More ships in the Med
An additional three Costa ships will operate in the Western Mediterranean and two ships in the Eastern Mediterranean offering one-week cruises: Costa Smeralda, Costa Toscana and Costa Diadema will visit Italy, France and Spain; Costa Deliziosa will depart from Venice/Marghera and Bari for islands in Greece, including Mykonos and Santorini; and Costa Pacifica will be positioned at the line’s new home port of Taranto, bound for Malta and the Greek islands.
