His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed, the crown prince of Dubai, was on hand for the occasion, along with Sultan Bin Sulayem, chairman, Dubai Port Authority and Free Zone.

Representing Costa Crociere were Costa Serena Capt. Mario Muratore, Chief Engineer Tonio Borghero and Hotel Director Luca Melone.
