Cunard opens 2022 voyages, including Alaska, for sale

Cunard's 2022 voyages on Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth are open for booking.

Alaska return

Highlights include Queen Elizabeth's return to Alaska with seven- and 10-night voyages, round-trip Vancouver, BC. The ship will visit Glacier Bay, Haines, Hubbard Glacier, Skagway, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, BC. The 10-night voyages start at $1,599 per person.

Each Alaska cruise will feature a headliner such as mountaineers Kenton Cool and Peter Hilary or polar scientist turned explorer Felicity Aston.

From Alaska, Queen Elizabeth will journey through the Panama Canal and cross to the Mediterranean for a series of seven- and 14-night fly-cruises, departing from Barcelona. The 14-night Panama Canal transit is priced starting at $2,099. The voyage departs from Los Angeles and visits Cabo San Lucas, Puntarenas (Costa Rica) and Oranjestad (Aruba).

Queen Mary 2

Queen Mary 2 highlights include a seven-night US Independence Day celebration, including an overnight at Boston and visits to Bar Harbor and Halifax. This round-trip New York jaunt departing July 1 is priced starting at $1,749.

Nineteen trans-Atlantic crossings between New York and Southampton are also on sale. For example, the Dec. 3 crossing from New York is priced starting at $949 and includes a return flight from the UK to the US.

A 13-night Caribbean cruise on Queen Mary 2 departs Nov. 20, round-trip from New York, and calls at St. Maarten, Dominica, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and the US Virgin Islands. Fares start at $2,399.

Follows high demand for 2021

'We are experiencing high demand for 2021, so we know how much our guests are anticipating traveling again on Cunard's iconic ships, and we are delighted to be offering an extended range of voyages through to the end of 2022, all accompanied by early booking offers,' Cunard President Simon Palethorpe said.

Bookings for Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria from April 2022 to January 2023, and Queen Elizabeth from May to November 2022 opened today. QM2's 2022 world cruise was announced earlier.

Deployment after these dates, including details of Queen Elizabeth's winter 2022 program and Australia voyages, will be released in 2021.
