Diamond Princess will undertake a maiden cruise season in South America and Antarctica in late 2021/early 2022, replacing Sapphire Princess on the same deployment from December through March.

The Princess Cruises ship has lately been deployed in Asia.

Its new itineraries include 'Andes & South America' and 'Antarctica, Andes & Cape Horn Grand Adventure' (both embarking Dec. 1, 2021), 'Antarctica & Cape Horn' (Dec. 19, 2021, Jan. 4 and Jan. 20, 2022), 'Cape Horn & Strait of Magellan' (Feb. 5,, Feb, 19 and March 5, 2022), 'Andes & Cape Horn Grand Adventure' (March 5, 2022) and 'Andes & South America' (March 19, 2022).

Pacific crossings

In addition, Diamond Princess will sail on two new Pacific crossings to and from Asia in late 2021 and early 2022 and ply the North Pacific Ocean with either Southeast Asia and Hawaii or Hawaii and Japan. These sailings are between Los Angeles and Singapore or Yokohama.

Baja, Hawaii voyages canceled

As a result of this change, three Sapphire Princess 'Baja Peninsula & Sea of Cortez' cruises and three Hawaiian Islands cruises in fall 2021 and spring 2022 are canceled.

Diamond and Sapphire Princess are sisters, built at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, Japan.
