Embarkations in Alicante and Malaga for MSC Orchestra
Passengers will be able to embark MSC Orchestra in Alicante and Malaga, as it begins a new 10-night Western Mediterranean itinerary next summer.
From June to October, 2022 the vessel will sail Spain and the Iberian Peninsula with calls in Olbia, Genoa, Marseille, Cadiz, Lisbon, Mahon, Menorca, Alicante and Malaga, plus full days at sea.
‘We are very pleased to announce this new itinerary, which demonstrates the company's strong commitment to Spanish ports and destinations…’ said Fernando Pacheco, MD, MSC Cruises in Spain.
‘I am delighted to be working with our local suppliers even more intensively than before. Both travel agents and clients have been asking us for some time to make Malaga a summer embarkation port and, after working together with the Port of Malaga and Suncruise Andalucía, we have managed to make this happen and further strengthen our commitment to the city.’
MSC Cruises has 29 calls in Malaga port – an increase of 52.6% than in 2019 – and 12 embarkations, making it the line set to most frequent the port, MSC Cruises claims. 40,000 passengers will visit Alicante over 12 stopovers.
After thanking the cruise line, Suncruise Andalucía President José García Fuentes went on to add, ‘We believe that this should be the beginning of a commitment by MSC Cruises in particular, and the cruise industry in general, to Andalusia as a cruise destination, taking into account its diversity of ports, cultural heritage and landscape diversity and everything that the destination offers to cruise passengers.’
Malaga
Remarked the president of the Port Authority of Malaga, Carlos Rubio, ‘The traditional relationship of MSC Cruises with the Port of Malaga is very positive, and we are confident that we will continue to maintain it in the upcoming years…’
MSC Orchestra
MSC Orchestra, part of MSC Cruises' Musica family, has capacity for 3,223 passengers and 1,300 crew members and is one of the line's ships with the highest percentage of outside cabins.
