FCCA brings back its marquee charity benefit dinner at Seatrade
The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association is relaunching a reimagined version of its marquee dinner event during Seatrade Cruise Global.
February 26, 2024
Now named ‘Shining Stars FCCA Foundation Dinner,’ the executive-packed, invitation-only event will take place April 9.
It will be coordinated by FCCA and supported by member lines with presidents, CEOs and other high-level cruise executives hosting tables to raise money for the reintroduction and revisioning of the association’s charitable arm, the FCCA Foundation.
Supported by Diamonds International
The event and relaunch of the FCCA Foundation are supported by a new collaboration with Diamonds International. As part of the partnership, both entities are combining their resources, especially on the focus of direct contact with local communities to determine needs and ways to help that can generate long-term benefits.
Event proceeds will go directly to the FCCA Foundation’s efforts and its revamped focus on building a foundation for youths throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, with primary identified objectives of education, sports and career-building opportunities, while restarting past initiatives including the Holiday Gift Project and annual essay competition.
'Back with a bang'
'I cannot be prouder to again help so many through the FCCA Foundation, especially with its revamped focus and collaborative partners like Diamonds International,' FCCA CEO Michele Paige said. 'There also seems like no better way than to bring it back with a bang, with surprises galore and putting us back on path for this annual highlight.'
'FCCA has a way of making business and networking fun at events like this, and I am confident that this one will not to be missed, especially considering the worthy cause it represents,' said Micky Arison, chairman of FCCA and Carnival Corp. & plc.
