Three cruise ships were berthed at the Port of Tarragona on the same day for the first time last Friday.

The trio were Royal Caribbean International's Jewel of the Seas, Costa Cruises' Costa Favolosa and Phoenix Reisen's Artania.

Maiden visit by Jewel of the Seas

Jewel of the Seas was making a maiden call and the second ship to berth at the new Balears Wharf, which was inaugurated in October 2021 and designed to streamline the arrival and departure of cruise ships in Tarragona. The first ship to visit was MSC Bellissima in July.

The other two ships berthed alongside the Llevant Wharf.

Since the cruise season began on April 15, the port has received 24 cruise ships with a total of 47,016 passengers.

Global Ports Holding

Tarragona is been part of Global Ports Holding's portfolio of managed cruise terminals since February.
