Balloons, Easter eggs and a music greeted cruise passengers
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Hanseatic Spirit arrived at St Peter Port last Friday – the first cruise ship to visit Guernsey in two years.

The port’s meet and greet team waved Guernsey flags and handed out Easter eggs to passengers, with the ship’s April 15 arrival coinciding with Good Friday.

A live performance from local guitar trio The Dawberts also took place, courtesy of Guernsey Street Festival.

84 calls this season

Guernsey expects to receive 84 cruise calls between now and October 25, bringing 165,000 passengers in total. Among them will be MSC Cruises’ Virtuosa, Royal Caribbeans' Jewel of the Seas and Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambience.

The port anticipates even stronger figures in 2023.
