Halifax up for busy cruise season including 12 maiden calls

Atlantic Canada's leading cruise port, Halifax, is set to host its first call of 2023 on April 22 with Norwegian Dawn's arrival.

More than 190 cruise visits are scheduled until Nov. 8 when Silver Shadow caps the season.

A dozen inaugural calls are among the mix. Some notably large ships include Oasis of the Seas on May 31 and Queen Mary 2 on July 2 and Oct. 1.

Port of Halifax expects 24 days with three cruise ships, two days with four and one day with five.
