The Isle of Man will be open and able to welcome cruise ships from June 28.

This is as a result of a change to the border framework allowing non-residents to visit the Isle of Man from June 28 provided that certain criteria are met: The criteria is proof of two vaccinations and a minimum of 14 days following second vaccination and that they have been within the UK Common Travel Area for a minimum of 10 days prior to arrival and have no symptoms of Covid-19.

Completion of a landing form within 48 hours of arrival which can be completed online or in paper form is also required.

Passengers not meeting the above requirements will be unable to land.

14 cruise lines have scheduled ex-UK sailings this summer with three already operating: MSC Cruises, Viking Cruises and Noble Caledonia with another five starting in the coming weeks and another six to follow.

The last cruise ship to visit Isle of Man was in March 2020 when Fridjtof Nansen called. ‘We can’t wait to get going again,’ said Peter Bashforth, cruise consultant at Glenleven Marine and handling cruise operations for Isle of Man.
