Itineraries announced for Bolette, Fred. Olsen’s newest ship

Bolette will set sail for the Azores and Madeira over Easter 2021
The Scottish isles, Iceland and Cape Verde are among the destinations that Bolette will sail to next year, taking over the itineraries of retired Fred. Olsen ship, Boudicca.

Bolette’s maiden voyage will be a seven-night Scotland & Northern Ireland cruise, journeying from Southampton on March 5, 2021 to Belfast, the Shetland Islands and Orkney and Scotland, with sights comprising Fingals Cave, Isle of Staffa and Dutchman’s Cap.

Two UK cruises will follow before Bolette sets sail for the Azores and Madeira over Easter. 

Itinerary highlights 

Departing on June 3, 2021 from Dover, Bolette will cruise for 12-nights through Reykjavík, Ísafjörður, Akureyri,Seyðisfjörður, Eyjafjörður, Hrisey and Orkney, with the Golden Circle, fjord kayaking and whale watching experiences forming part of the the itinerary.

On November 20 next year, the new vessel will travel for 16-nights from Southampton to Santa Cruz, La Palma, Spain, before moving on to Cape Verde to encounter Mindelo, São Vicente, Praia, Santiago, Porto Novo, Santo Antão and Agadir, ahead of Morocco’s Casablanca and Tangier. 

‘Our new ships have been a long time in the planning, so it is great to be able to officially unveil our itineraries for Bolette today’, says Clare Ward, director of product and customer service. 

She went on to add that Bolette brings ‘many new and wonderful facilities’ to the fleet, including an increased number of bars and lounges.’

Guests who book by September 30, 2020 onto any of Bolette’s 2021/2022 sailings will be given free tips and up to £100 per person to spend on board. Bookings are available from today.

Lay-up in Rosyth, Scotland 

Bolette - originally named Amsterdam before it was purchased from Holland America Line - is expected to arrive in Rosyth, Scotland this month where it will be laid up with the rest of the Fred. Olsen fleet, including the company’s other new addition, Borealis.
