Lisbon Cruise Port expects 45 cruise calls in October carrying a total of 45,000 passengers.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Splendor was the first to call on October 1, with the maiden voyages of P&O Cruises’ Iona and Ponant’s Le Commandant Charcot being out of the port.

‘We are delighted that the industry is picking up at a steady rate,’ commented newly appointed Lisbon Cruise Port General Manager Duarte Cabral. ‘We will make sure that all protocols are in place, allowing passengers to have a controlled environment that will ensure their health & safety.’

With calls also from MSC Cruises, Costa Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line, the port’s activity in October will be 88% of what it was compared to October 2019.

In September, Lisbon Cruise Port hosted 13 calls carrying over 15,000 passengers.
