Starting December 16, Marella Discovery will operate the ‘Tropical Isles’ itinerary with prices starting from £1822. The ship will depart from La Romana, Dominican Republic, calling San Jean, Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie, US Virgin Islands, and Frederiksted, US Virgin Islands, before porting in Ponce and Isla Catalina, and returning to La Romana.

The 2025 winter itineraries go on sale today. Further highlights include:

Overnight, cruise & stay options

Marella Discovery 2 will offer the ‘Exotic Islands’ programme from January 8, 2026 calling Barbados, St Lucia, Aruba, Curacao and Grenada in the Caribbean. There will be new overnight onboard stays available in Willemstad, Curacao and cruise & stay options available in Hilton Barbados Resort in Needhams Point and Radisson Aquatica in Hastings, Barbados.

The ‘Island Explorer’ sailings offered by Marella Voyager and adults-only ship, Marella Explorer 2, include Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Madeira and La Palma. The itinerary commences November 28, 2025. Customers can choose to sail from Tenerife and Gran Canaria, and have an overnight stay in the Port at Funchal, Madeira.

‘We’re excited to be announcing our winter 2025 programme, with our more remote island ports of call in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, allowing our guests to discover more,’ said Chris Hackney, MD, Marella Cruises.

‘By expanding our overnight onboard stay offering in the Curacao and Canary Islands and cruise and stay options in the Caribbean and Canary Islands, it will give guests a chance to explore the sights, with a chance to stay at our TUI hotels pre- or post-cruise.’

New Year’s voyage

In addition, Marella Voyager will operate a New Year’s sailing where passengers can see in 2026 with fireworks in Madeira. The ‘A New Year’s Dream’ itinerary includes Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Madeira and Gran Canaria, with a cruise & stay offer in Tenerife and Gran Canaria available.
