Marella launches winter 2021/22 itineraries

Explorer 2 will stay overnight in Havana during its winter 2021 Caribbean sailing
Launching today, Marella’s winter programme comprises 18 new ports of call, including Halong Bay, San Juan and Manila, Philippines and sees Discovery 2 venture to Canada for the first time.

Canary Islands

Marella Cruises’ Dream and Explorer depart from Tenerife in November next year, calling at La Palma, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria with overnight stays in Funchal and Playa Blanca  – Marella’s first new port of call in the Canary Islands since winter 2016.


From December 2021, Discovery will homeport in Barbados ahead of sailings to two new ports of call – Charlotte Amelie and Frederiksted in the U.S Virgin Islands – continuing to Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe and St Vincent and the Grenadines. 

Explorer 2’s Caribbean itinerary in winter next year includes a new overnight stay in Havana.


Discovery 2 will sail two new Asia itineraries from 2022, calling at Manila, Philippines, Muara, Brunei and Da Nang, Vietnam, homeporting out of Hong Kong and Singapore.

Canada and Indian Ocean

In 2021, Discovery will do both an overnight stay in Boston and visit Canada for the first time; leaving Port Canaveral the vessel will travel to Saint John, Charlotte Town, Quebec, Sageunay and Sept-Iles before concluding its itinerary in Barbados on October 24.

Sailings to Sri Lanka, Mumbai and Oman commence April 7 and 8, 2022.

COVID-19 and Marella Promise

Bookings are available from today and flexible between July 23 and September 30, 2020 as part of the company’s recently launched Marella Promise

Last month, Marella cancelled its Greece restart and extended its pause in operations to November 15.
