MedCruise has launched an online marketing campaign to promote the cruise industry in the Mediterranean, Black Sea, Adriatic Sea, Red Sea and Near Atlantic.

Running through 2021 under the hashtag #CruiseTheMed it consists of five brief videos that capture aspects of the region, including:

Culture & history

The ports of the Mediterranean are the gateway to territories that reveal the achievements of preceding civilizations, with a thousand-year-old heritage that is recognized by UNESCO. #FullyAstonishing, #FullyInspiring

Active tourism & nature

The Mediterranean and its adjacent seas invite a range of outdoor activities year-round. #FullyAlive, #FullyNatural

Gastronomy

Mediterranean cuisine was proclaimed Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013 by UNESCO, establishing it as one of the most beneficial diets for lifestyle and health. #FullyTasty

‘The current pandemic is strongly hitting the cruise industry,’ commented MedCruise Director of Marketing Maria Cano. ‘MedCruise believes that now, more than ever, it is time to support the cruise industry; it is time to innovate, and it is time to think outside the box.

‘In hard times, new and positive ideas are needed. This new online marketing strategy responds to this new era. MedCruise creates, adapts and innovates to continue giving the best to its members and to the industry.’

The campaign is the first where the Association has made major investment in the consumer market.
