MSC Cruises confirms MSC Opera will serve as floating hotel in Doha for FIFA World Cup

Qatar Tourism’s VP international markets, Philip Dickinson, told Seatrade Cruise of the arrangement last month.

The 1,075-cabin vessel joins the line's first LNG-powered vessel MSC World Europa, plus MSC Poesia in the city. The ships were already scheduled to provide the same function during this period.

MSC Opera

The arrangement follows cooperation between the cruise line and Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.  Accommodation onboard MSC Opera can be booked for a minimum of two nights, either directly through the line or via a travel agency.

MSC Opera has a variety of lounges and entertainment venues including the La Cabala Piano Lounge, the Teatro dell ‘Opera theatre for evening entertainment, a range of restaurants, a spa, gym, swimming pools and whirlpools throughout the ship’s nine decks.
