MSC reported in with Royal Caribbean, ITM on Freeport cruise upgrades

Article-MSC reported in with Royal Caribbean, ITM on Freeport cruise upgrades

Freeport shopping
MSC has joined Royal Caribbean Group and ITM Group for Freeport, Bahamas cruise upgrades, Grand Bahama Port Authority President Ian Rolle said.

Addressing a Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association directors meeting, Rolle said MSC is in on the talks, according to a report today in The Tribune.

This pertains to a long-planned redevelopment of the harbor, a project under discussion with the port authority and the Freeport Harbour Co., part of Hutchison Whampoa.

Expanded cruise berthing

Expanded cruise berthing, improved multimodal transportation and a water-based attraction are understood to be among the considerations.

MSC Cruises did not immediately confirm the report on Friday, and Michael Bayley, president/CEO Royal Caribbean International, earlier this week had no comment during an interview with Seatrade Cruise News.
