MSC World Europa called at Dammam, Saudi Arabia as part of its seven-night Arabian Sea inaugural itinerary
MSC World Europa arrived Wednesday at Dammam’s King Abdulaziz port for the first time.

A traditional plaque exchange took place onboard between Capt. Marco Massa and officials from Cruise Saudi and Saudi Ports Authority, Mawani.

The 215,863gt MSC World Europa, which made the call as part of its seven-night Arabian Sea inaugural itinerary, then continued with its 5,358 passengers to Doha, Qatar where the ship’s naming took place last November. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas Island in the United Arab Emirates were also included in the voyage, which concludes in Qatar today.

Winter and summer seasons

MSC Cruises’ winter season in the Middle East additionally includes MSC Opera’s seven-night Arabian Sea sailings between the UAE and Oman, and MSC Splendida’s seven-night Red Sea voyages between Egypt, Jordan and the Saudi Arabian cities of Jeddah and Yanbu.

MSC World Europa’s maiden summer 2023 season will comprise seven-night cruises with calls at Genoa, Naples and Messina in Italy, Valletta in Malta, Barcelona in Spain and Marseille in France.
