Norwegian Cruise Line highlighted a collection of port-intensive South Pacific itineraries for 2022 aboard Norwegian Spirit.

As reported here, the former SuperStar Leo which transferred to NCL in 2004 was revitalised from bow to stern in 2020 at a cost of more than $100m.

Next year she will visit New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, American Samoa, French Polynesia and Hawaii.

Closer-to-home holidays

‘We are delighted to be able to offer these incredible and inspirational itineraries to our guests, providing Australian and New Zealand cruisers with a vast range of unique, closer-to-home holiday choices,’ said Damian Borg, director of sales Australia and New Zealand.

Borg described Norwegian Spirit’s 14-day cruise from Sydney to Papeete on April 23, 2022, as a 'truly indulgent experience’ that will visit ’10 of the world’s most exotic ports.’ He said these include Lautoka, Mystery Island and Pago Pago, plus the opportunity to snorkel at Fiji’s amazing Great Astrolabe Reef.

French Polynesia

On November 7, 2022, Norwegian Spirit will leave Papeete on a seven-day cruise around French Polynesia, calling at Bora Bora, Moorea and Raiatea.

On November 14 she departs Papeete on a 12-day cruise to Honolulu via Bora Bora, Kaua’i and Maui.
