For a limited time, Oceania Cruises is offering a free pre- or post-cruise land program in connection with 15 sailings during 2023.

These tours visit coveted places like the Cape Winelands, Taj Mahal, Angkor Wat, the Blue Mountains and Nazca Lines, and present a savings of up to $4,600 per person.

The free add-ons are open to travelers who book by Jan. 8.

'There are some places in the world we just can’t reach by ship, but are must-sees when cruising the region, so our immersive land programs are the best opportunity for guests to visit these remarkable places and do it for free,' said Howard Sherman, president and CEO, Oceania Cruises.

'Ancient Incas & Pristine Paracas'

For example, 'Ancient Incas & Pristine Paracas,' a one-night trip from Callao (Lima), Peru, flies participants over the enormous drawings the pre-Columbian Nazca people created in the desert and to the 15th-century ruins of the Incan coastal community Tambo Colorado. Wildlife is the draw of both the Ballestas Islands and Paracas National Reserve, a desert landscape along the sea.

This free land tour is offered in conjunction with Insignia’s 'Pacific Panorama' cruise departing Jan. 15, a 24-day voyage from San Francisco, California, to Santiago, Chile.

'Winelands & Wildlife'

This three-night pre- or post-cruise trip from Cape Town offers wine tastings in the epicenter of the esteemed Cape Winelands, paired with opportunities to view animals synonymous with Africa. At Aquila, a private game reserve, travelers may spot the Big Five – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and Cape buffalo.

The add-on pairs with Insignia’s 'Safaris & Global Gems' cruise, departing April 5, a 21-day voyage, Cape Town to Dubai. and the 'Atlantic Expedition' cruise on March 4, a 32-day voyage from Rio De Janeiro to Cape Town.

It is also offered as part of the program aboard Nautica’s 'South Africa Spotlight' departing Jan. 6, a 12-day voyage round-trip Cape Town, and 'Indian Ocean Escapade,' departing Jan. 18, an 18-day voyage from Cape Town to Mumbai.

Angkor Wat

A three-night tour offered pre- or post-cruise from Bangkok, this takes participants through the sprawling Angkor Archaeological Park. A look at contemporary life in a craft school for underprivileged children and in a thriving marketplace add modern cultural context to the experience.

Angkor Wat is available in conjunction with Nautica’s 'Far East Interlude' cruise departing Feb. 5, a 14-day voyage from Mumbai to Bangkok, and 'Fortunes Of The East' sailing Feb. 19, a 10-day voyage from Bangkok to Singapore.

Further choices, from Sausalito to Sydney

Among the other free land add-ons are three nights in Rio de Janeiro, Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Dubai or Sydney, or three nights in Chilean wine country or Australia's Blue Mountains, a massive UNESCO World Heritage Site. Still another option: two nights in San Francisco and Sausalito.
